Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the steering committee, we are pleased to announce the 5th MuSkLE (Musculo-Skeletal system, Locomotion, Exercise) Summer School, which will take place in Lyon, France, from May 31 to June 5, 2026.

The MuSkLE Summer School aims to train students in the development, regulation, and function of the musculoskeletal system across various physiological and pathophysiological contexts. The program promotes truly interdisciplinary research, spanning molecular to integrative levels, and using diverse experimental models (cells, Drosophila, zebrafish, rodents, athletes, patients, etc.).

We welcome Bachelor (priority) and Master students in molecular biology, cell or developmental biology, medicine, physiology, physiotherapy and exercise sciences who are interested in research on the musculoskeletal system.

  • Number of participants: Limited to 18 students
  • Registration: Free but mandatory
  • Selection criteria: Based on a CV and motivation letter
  • Support: Travel and housing costs will be covered through a travel grant
